Aloe Vera is a great moisturizer and hydrates the skin; it has been used in skin care for many years. Since it can be used for cuts, burns, scars, and inflammation, we know that it helps regenerate cells and helps in rebuilding damaged tissue.
I use Aloe Vera to cleanse with and have used it for years like that, and at times, I use it as a base moisturizer. I have seen a difference in the shine & oil on my face (so seeing less of it), and I have combination/sensitive skin. When I use Aloe Vera gel, I wet my hands and pour a little gel in my hands and use it on my face, arms, hands, décolletage, ears, and neck; anywhere where the sun normally hits my skin every day. I use the Aloe Vera gel first, let it dry a few seconds then I apply my homemade moisturizer.
I’m very fair, so my décolletage has always stayed a little pink due to the amount of time I am outside. When I started walking regularly, I noticed my décolletage was getting more pink & even red (this was before I started using Aloe Vera there) and it concerned me about skin damage and cancer. After a couple of months of using it, the skin there is a healthy pink color close to my normal skin color.
I believe the properties of Aloe Vera help balance the pH of our skin. Try it out and see how it works for you. It doesn’t matter if you use gel or juice, but it is important to get something that is 100% Aloe Vera or very close to a hundred percent.
